Instaurare omnia in Christo
To restore all things in Christ
Catholic Christian Family Movement (CCFM) – This is a group of Catholic families that meet regularly to promote Christian family values. It is a Movement where families come together over a 4-year period to examine a variety of topics that make up Family Life but do so in a way that incorporates prayer, catechetical and biblical study, service and fun.
The goal is to build greater unity within families, not just between the couple but also between parents and their children. Such unity makes for happier homes and ultimately, provides the best environment to ensure that Christian values take hold in the children.
The married couples in the Movement meet in each other’s homes once a month for prayer, discussion, a little study, and socialization. They also meet monthly at the parish where they often have religious leaders or Christian family experts come and give talks.
All of this time spent by the families in the Movement help them to not only form a support group within their parish communities but also to help these individual become more active in their parishes. The Movement teaches that healthy families do not exist in isolation but have a willingness to share their wisdom, talents, and faith with others. In this way, families in the Movement help their parishes become stronger.
